Getting ready!

In a little over one day, we will be leaving for Thailand and beginning our adventures in Asia. We’ve packed our bags to make sure everything fits and have run countless errands buying gear and preparing for our trip. It was surprising how much of our budget was spent before we even started our journey. Immunization are expensive as are backpacks, hiking shoes, water shoes, day packs, water purification systems, etc.

  1. Good luck. I still regret not traveling coast to coast after the service when I was offered to join a group of friends. My concern is your safety. I hope you take all possible precautions. Wish you all the best. I will participate by reading your descriptions.
Remember that a great story does not depend on how many birchot ha’gomel you owe Shmayim, and how daring or hair raising are your adventures. They are measured by the truism of your insights and your descriptions of them… The great work of Buddha was made while sitting. So my advice is that when you come to the lands of perfume and spices, sit on the hotel balcony while seeping exotic liquids and reflect being in the present. Make deep didgeridoo-like breathing noises and come back to the milk and honey land accomplished, healthy and happy. The mosquitoes, flies and dust, I suggest, you leave for Am Ex.
